As a vacation planner, we often hear the question, what is there for kids to do at EPCOT? While it's not as chock full of kid-centric rides as, say Magic Kingdom, the truth is, there's a LOT for kids at EPCOT. There are some very cute rides, plus the Kidcot Fun Stops in each country, character meets and the fountains to play in or watch.
Sometimes, though, it pays to be a little creative with it.
Adults may enjoy Drinks Around the World at World Showcase. Well, we decided to give that a bit of a twist to appeal to the young and the young at heart. It's a Candy Crawl around World Showcase.
Here's the idea: at each country in World Showcase, find a candy to try. You'll find some familiar flavors, as well as some that are really different.
We didn't have the sweet tooth to try them all, but the matcha filled chocolates in Japan were surprisingly good. Hard to describe, but we bought several boxes.
Start with the China Pavilion. Here we found these Milk and Strawberry Puffs, which are like a candy cream puff.
The Vikings in Norway were out for photo ops and fun. They added a lot to the pavilion. We found some yummy dark chocolate in Norway. My daughter prefers milk chocolate, so this was just okay.
Italy had lots of choices. We liked these little hazelnut cookies with chocolate filling.
In Japan, we tried the matcha-filled chocolates. Hard to describe, but the green-tea filling tempered the sweet of the chocolate coating. They are strangely addictive. In the past, we tried some Japanese hard candies and the flavors were just not to our liking.
We loved the bouquet of lollipops in France!! They were pretty standard, maybe more authentically flavored.
Last, but not least, we hit the jackpot of British sweet, milk chocolate bars. Exactly what you think of when you picture a candy bar!
So, there you have it! Just one way to make EPCOT a fun experience for everyone in your family!! There are many ways to enjoy EPCOT, including the Kidcot coloring stations or the passports they sell. I hope you experience something fun here on your next trip!!
